Mock Installation task
Hollis Frampton – ‘Nostalgia’ - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=voMDL1TgTh4
For this piece, I would have the viewers in a room with a wall sized screen on each side of the space. Each section would be projected onto a different wall at a time, and when each photo began to smoke, a machine would begin to release small amounts of smoke behind the screen.
Andy Warhol – ‘Empire’ - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sSsWj2HWk0
The video would be projected onto a large screen on a wall. The room, and floor would be decorated to replicate the building and setting that the video was shot on, to give the same view that the camera did. The lighting would change based on the point in the video.
Sam Taylor-Wood – ‘David’ - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z0UEuuYuNDo
An old TV would be placed on one side of a bed, roughly matching the image on it to the position on the bed. Similarly, the lighting would match that of the room David is in.
