Footage and Audio Folders
1 - From the main footage folder. Several of the shots highlighted won't be used as it is b-roll, with each being similar shots with multiple takes to make sure we had a good one to work with.
2 - Also from the main footage folder. These shots won't be used because the hood doesn't fit the continuity, as it should be down not up.
3 - This is a folder of my pick-up shots. The three highlighted won't be used as they are several varying takes with different costumes set-ups, which were done in case the shot needed to be used in whatever part of the video was needed.
4 - The only audio in the video are the song itself and several recorded parts of dialogue from the intro section of the production, as seen in the audio folder.
5 - I have sourced only two images for the video. One being a circuitry pattern design and the other is a vignette png, both of which are used in the lip synced/face paint sections.

Editing Process
1 - The first 30 or so second of the video has quick highlights of the walk to the meet-up shown to the viewer. Each clip is quick and uses jump cuts between each bit. The reason I have done this is so that the rest of the video is given context and makes sense to the audience when they see it later in reverse. It also sets up the narrative of the video by quickly and without being boring.
2 - Each of the sections with lip syncing have been match-cut with the same shot but with progressively more face paint throughout. The meaning behind it is that the main character is slowly becoming more and more emotionless, with the cuts used to emphasize this. It also looks visually intriguing, which is improved upon by strobe cutting the shots over specific words such as "killed" or "love", adding more emotion to it.
3 - To add more impact to this scene, as the text message is "disappearing", I quickly cut to progressive shots of the circuit face paint for a split second. To make it even more powerful, the cuts were made on heavy bass notes.
4 - Throughout this section, I cut to previous parts of the video, with some match-cutting for a few of them. As well as adding more emotion the scene, it creates some parallels with the parts it cuts to. For example, when pulling out the flower the two shots are for different reasons, one being to "put it back" and the other to get ready to give it.
5 - The video only consists of hard cuts, with nothing like fades at all. This decision was made as the beat of the video quick and repetitive, and so hard cuts fit better with it, emphasising the tempo.
6 - The backwards lip syncing section (though shorter) staying in the final edit, but only for two lines. The use of this gave the video something fresh to cut to when the face paint and narrative might have gotten boring. A side shot was chosen as this helped show off the fact it was in reverse more effectively.
7 - The shots of the phone are close-ups, with everything else defocused from the background so that the attention is on the messages. This shot was chosen, not only due to how interesting it looked in reverse, but also to show the connection between the two characters more, and the emotion behind the scene increases as a result.
8 - I was very pleased with the end result of this scene, as use of having the main character out of focus, but the flower in focus creates more emotion behind the scene. It turns the flower into a symbol of how important it is for the character, turning from uplifting to depressing as it plays in reverse.
